Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) on Tuesday felicitated 25 of its employees for being ‘COVID-19 warriors’ and helping all affected workers of the organization to recover in the shortest possible time, the company said in a statement issued here.
These exceptional employees included doctors, administration staff, drivers, cooks, security officials, etc.
After felicitating these Corona warriors, Chairman Naveen Jindal said, “We may be living in a challenging era, but we believe in putting our employees at the core of our operations, and doing everything possible so that they remain in their best of health. The felicitation is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of these brave JSPL employees. These employees served their colleagues selflessly and courageously through these difficult times. These outstanding employees will further inspire others, in and outside the organisation”.
In the backdrop of an unprecedented crisis caused due to the spread of the pandemic, JSPL has undertaken several measures to protect employees from the Corona virus and to keep the workplace safe, in accordance with guidelines issued by the Indian government and protocols of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Despite taking adequate measures, there are high chances of people getting contaminated and some employees of JSPL also contracted the virus. However facing the crisis head on, the rest of the workforce adjusted to the circumstance and ensured that the infected employees staged a quick recovery.
JSPL stands with the Union Government and state governments in protecting the lives of its employees and their families, and ensuring their well-being, in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, while contributing to the India Growth Story, the statement said.
