The Indian Government introduced a new Prime Minister’s Emergency Fund
on 28 March 2020 to collect contributions and help citizens to improve the
struggle against coronavirus through the PM-Cares Fund, i.e. the Prime
Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Emergency Situation Relief Fund.
