At a time when the COVID 19 pandemic has made many jobless and has been termed as a crisis of unparalleled scale taking 2,00,000 lives globally to date, we also see surge in philanthropic activities undertaken by different NGOs, CSR arms of Corporate Sectors, individuals, and others.
One such addition to the list of philanthropists is the Chairman of Claridges Group of Hotels, Suresh Nanda, who has joined hands with NGOs like the South Women Association to offer free meals to daily workers and other vulnerable sections affected by the pandemic.
Mr. Nanda has also offered to help Second Chance School, Mahipalpur, Delhi, a school established by the NGO Ritinjali, working for the academic growth of underprivileged sections.
“Our hearts go out to all those who are struggling to make their ends meet during these testing times. We are trying our best to support our employees as well as the communities around us. Though the times are tough, it is important that we help each other in every little way we can,” Suresh Nanda was quoted as saying.
